Dostępnik Kulturalny is a mobile app that makes it easier for people with a hearing loss to explore and visit cultural institutions. It acts as a functional guide, allowing users to quickly find the information they need about available facilities and easily check the accessible events taking place Krakow.
In order to attract hearing people who are interested in the topic of accessibility and accessibility coordinators, I have created the app s Knowledge Base page. It has an educational purpose expert articles, books and useful links collected there provide a database on digital accessibility.
The project was inspired by my own experience of exploring the culture of the city while being a hard of hearing person. I wanted to use my skills as a designer and become a link between the fully hearing and the hearing impaired.
The mobile app is a non-commercial project and a part of my Bachelor's degree, developed over a period of nine months under the supervision of dr Justyna Kraszewska at the Institute of Art and Design at Pedagogical University in Krakow.

Why us?
The project addresses the important issue of accessibility and the functioning of people with hearing disabilities. It is a great example of combining design skills with the designer's personal experience, which translates into a valuable voice in the accessibility discussion.
