Who can submit?
To ensure our conference offers the most enriching experience, we have established guidelines to assist potential speakers in determining their fit for WaysConf. We aim to maintain clear and consistent communication, building trust within our community.
✅ We warmly invite you to submit a proposal if you:
Embrace Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Your work exemplifies the fusion of design, research, and product development, showcasing innovative solutions that go beyond traditional boundaries.
Bring Real-World Lessons: We love hearing from people who have hands-on experience, have faced challenges, and can share valuable insights. Our audience will benefit immensely if your talk is grounded in personal lessons and practical takeaways.
Offer Actionable Insights: You can provide practical takeaways that empower our audience to implement new strategies, tools, or methodologies in their projects.
Ensure Your Topic Resonates: WaysConf is a space where meaningful conversations happen. Make sure your subject matter is relevant to our audience and contributes to their professional growth.
Champion Inclusivity and Diversity: Your content promotes inclusive practices and reflects diverse perspectives, aligning with our commitment to a respectful and welcoming environment.
⚠️ Please carefully consider your application if:
Your Content is Primarily Promotional: We prioritize educational value over self-promotion. Ensure your proposal focuses on sharing knowledge rather than marketing a product or service.
The Topic Lacks Relevance to Our Audience: Our attendees seek content pertinent to design, research, and product management. Proposals should align with these areas to meet audience expectations.
The Material is Overly Technical Without Broad Applicability: Technical depth is great, but make sure your talk is structured in a way that engages a broader audience beyond just specialists.
You've Been on Too Many Stages Recently: If you've spoken at multiple conferences in a short time, we might think twice about including your talk. We want fresh perspectives and new voices.
You’ve already spoken at WaysConf in the last two years. If you've been a keynote speaker or hosted a workshop with us recently, we ask that you give space for new voices before submitting again.
❌ We kindly advise against applying if:
You're Here to Pitch a Product, Service, or Company: If your goal is to sell something rather than contribute valuable knowledge, this is not the stage for you.
You work for a company that sells directly to designers. As an independent event, we keep a strict boundary between editorial content and marketing. If your company would financially benefit from being featured, consider sponsoring instead.
You're Focused on Personal Branding: WaysConf is about ideas, not self-promotion. If your talk is designed to boost your personal profile rather than deliver meaningful insights, it won’t be the right fit.
By adhering to these guidelines, you help us create a space where interesting ideas flourish. We can’t wait to hear from thinkers, doers, and innovators who are shaping the future of our industries. If you have a bold idea, a fresh lesson, or an impactful story to share, submit your proposal, and let’s build something great together.
